This is really disturbing and saddening. It reminds me of _Reckless Eyeballing_ by Ishmael Reed. We haven't come as far as we think.

That's scary ... what's going on? I thought St. Louis was a pretty progressive and friendly city but apparently not.
I think it is pretty progressive. Keep in mind that there were 70 Nazis, and I imagine that's spread all over the bi-state area. They had to be protected by the police with fences. 150 anti-nazi protesters showed up, and there were at least two other anti-nazi rallies the same day in other places.
